We are driving from Trujillo , Spain, the Memorial Project in 2011 near the V Centennial of the Birth of the Discoverer Trujillo Rio Amazonas Francisco de Orellana (1511-1546).
Our Projet has three basic lines of action: Historical. Tourism and Environment.

1. The History and Culture: Celebrating the figure of the explorer Francisco de Orellana. Disseminate historical, documentary and biography of the episode. Orellana discovered a new route between the Pacific and Atlantic sailing across the continent from side to side. His birthplace is in Trujillo, located in the medieval town has been renovated into a unique hotel accommodation. Nearby is the Church of Santa Maria la Mayor, one of the jewels of Trujillo, where in his place exudes the bronze bust of the discoverer with the dates of his birth and death (1511-1546).

2. The Tourist: Tourist Promotion unprecedented an area of great potential in terms of its historical and cultural heritage and its diversity of landscape (La Dehesa Extremadura Monfragüe Park, just half an hour from Trujillo).

Inviting countries and peripheral characters who inhabit both banks of the Amazon from its source to its mouth from the perspective of the International Cooperation and Iberoamérica. The project was officially launched in Trujillo, La Casa de Orellana, by the Cultural Association Trujillo 2011, the same promoter, on September 11, 2009, coinciding with the September 11, 1541, when Francisco de Orellana reached the Atlantic after his journey through the Amazon.
